WELCOME TO DISCOVER NOOSA HEADS

Noosa Heads is one of the three major centres of the Noosa region on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland, Australia. It is located 136 kilometres (85 mi) north of Brisbane, the state's capital. The Noosa River forms one boundary of the town, the headlands of the Noosa National Park another. Behind is Noosaville and Noosa Junction (these urban areas run into each other).

Noosa attracts a broad mix of sun-seekers from surfers and families to Noosa Heads from the airfashionable foodies and executive couples wanting to get away from it all. As a premier gourmet destination, its menus are abundant with produce farmed in the region - tropical fruits, spices, ginger, sugarcane and seafood.

Endless attractions entice them here - kilometres of pristine sundrenched beaches, powder white sand and a water temperature that invites year round swimming turquoise waters, lush hinterland and the relaxed lifestyle. Superb restaurants, cafes, bars and clubs, and great shopping secures Noosa's reputation as the perfect holiday escape.

The rare natural beauty of Noosa and its surrounds has been recognised by UNESCO as an official Biosphere Reserve. The listing confirms Noosa's commitment to protecting and treasuring the area's outstanding environmental values.

The main shopping area Hastings Street is a relaxed, pedestrian-friendly thoroughfare. Low-rise and leafy, it is a popular place with visitors who flock to the resort accommodation, cosmopolitan cafes, designer shops and alfresco dining along the length of this wide, paved street

The subtropical climate means eating alfresco is the main order of the day, with many divine spots to choose from. You'll also discover an impeccable range of eateries, from brasserie-style and swank, to all sorts of Asian and fish and chips along the main strip.

Noosa Beach borders Hastings Street and a 10 minute walk takes you to Noosa National Park, a natural haven of quiet sandy coves, walking tracks, rocky headlands a population of koalas, which are often seen in and around Noosa National Park and some of the best surf the coast has to offer.
